On July 2, 2019 at 5:25 p.m., 5 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a grass fire at 1072 Crispi Drive in the City of Pacifica.
The first arriving fire company found a vegetation fire that was threatening an outbuilding. Fire companies used hose lines to contain the fire, which burned approximately a quarter acre of land, but was stopped by firefighters before damaging any structures or other property. Fire companies remained on scene for approximately two and a half hours checking for hot spots, completing overhaul and mop up operations. There were no injuries to any of the firefighters.
The fire was investigated by North County Fire Authority Fire Prevention Division and was determined to be human caused.
The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of cutting and removing all dry grass and flammable vegetation around their homes.
