Technical Rescue in Pacifica

On March 4, 2012 at 1:21 pm, 3 Fire Companies and 1 Chief Officer responded to technical rescue of a off road mountain biker involved in a fall accident in the hills behind the area of Adobe Drive & Higgins Way in Pacifica.

The first arriving fire companies gained access to the remote area, where the approximately 20 year old male victim was located. Fire paramedics evaluated the patient, completed the rescue, treated the injuries and packaged the victim. 

The injured biker was then transported utilizing the fire department’s specialized off road four wheeled all-terrain vehicle to an awaiting paramedic transport ambulance. The patient was transport toSan Francisco GeneralHospitaland its trauma unit for further medical treatment.  The emergency incident was mitigated in approximately 90 minutes.
