Structure Fire in Pacifica

On July 29, 2015 at 5:45 p.m., 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire at 483 Inverness Dr. in the City of Pacifica.

The first arriving fire company found smoke coming from the second floor bedroom of the two-story home. Using hose line, firefighters were able to contain the fire to the second floor bedroom, with the home sustaining smoke damage to the rest of the second floor living areas. Four occupants were displaced by the fire and sought living arrangements with relatives.

Fire companies remained on scene for over two hours completing salvage and overhaul operations. There were no injuries to firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau. The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors their homes.
