On December 14, 2014 at 11:08 p.m., 4 Fire Companies, 1 Chief Officer and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire at 1263 Danmann Way in the City of Pacifica.
The first arriving fire company reported smoke and flames coming from a detached out building in the rear yard of a single family residence. Firefighters made forcible entry into the out building and using fire attack hose lines extinguished the fire. The fire was contained to the out building only, with no extension or damage to any other structure or residences in the area.
Fire companies remained on scene for over two and a half hours completing salvage and overhaul operations. There were no injuries to any civilians or firefighters.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau. The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors their homes.
