On July 16, 2013 at 6:34 a.m., 6 Fire Companies, 3 Chief Officers and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a report of smoke in a residence at 32 E Moltke Street, in the City of Daly City.
The first arriving fire company reported smoke showing from the garage of a single family home. Fire companies made entry into the home and located the fire in the garage area and using hose lines extinguished the fire, which was contained to the area of origin.
Fire companies remained on scene for approximately two and one-half hours checking for further extension of the fire and completing overhaul. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians and residents were not displaced form the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau. The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors in homes and businesses.
