On July 29, 2019 at 11:50 a.m., 7 Fire Companies, 3 Chief Officers, and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire at 91 Hillcrest Dr. in the City of Daly City.
The first arriving fire company found smoke coming from the window of a second-floor unit of a three-story, apartment building. Fire companies remained on scene for 2 hours checking for fire extension, completing overhaul and mop up operations. Two residents were displaced by the fire and received housing assistance through the American Red Cross. There were no injuries to any of the firefighters or residents.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Division.
The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke alarms in their homes.
