Structure Fire in Daly City

On June 4, 2019 at 9:41 a.m., 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers, 1 Breathing Support Unit and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire at 527 Crocker Avenue in the City of Daly City.

The first arriving fire company found heavy smoke and flames coming from the garage of a two-story, single family home. One resident was rescued by firefighters from the rear of the home. Using hose lines, firefighters were able to contain the fire to the garage and nearby storage room, with smoke damage throughout the rest of the home.

Fire companies remained on scene for over 3 hours checking for fire extension and completing salvage and overhaul operations. Six residents, two dogs and one cat were displaced by the fire and received housing assistance through the Red Cross.

There were no injuries to any of the firefighters or residents.

The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke alarms in their homes.
