Structure Fire in Daly City

On June 15, 2018 at 9:00 p.m., 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers, and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire at 6842 Mission in the City of Daly City.

The first arriving fire companies found smoke coming from the 2nd floor of the two-story residential apartment unit over a commercial dry-cleaning business. Using hose lines, firefighters were able to contain the fire to a bedroom which sustained heavy fire damage. There was heavy smoke damage to the remainder of the apartment unit.

Fire companies remained on scene for over three hours checking for fire extension, completing overhaul and mop up operations. Three residents were displaced by the fire.  There were no injuries to any of the firefighters or residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau.

The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors in their homes.
