Structure Fire in Daly City

On March 2, 2018 at 5:01 p.m., 5 Fire Companies, 1 Chief Officer, and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire at 1050 St. Francis Boulevard #2012 in the City of Daly City.

The first arriving fire company found a kitchen fire in a unit of a two-story, apartment building. The fire was contained to the kitchen with heavy smoke damage throughout the rest of the unit.

Fire companies remained on scene for over 2 hours checking for fire extension, completing overhaul and mop up operations. Three residents were displaced by the fire, but made their own housing arrangements.  There were no injuries to any of the firefighters or residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau.

The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors in their homes
