Structure Fire in Daly City

On September 16, 2017 at 11:43 a.m., 12 Fire Companies, 4 Chief Officers and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire at 379 Imperial Way in the City of Daly City.

The first arriving fire company found smoke coming from the attic vents, chimney and rear pool area of a 2-story, club house.  Fire companies made entry through the main front door and lower level pool entrance. Using hose lines, firefighters were able to contain the fire to men’s workout/locker room area and kitchen area above, with smoke damage throughout the rest of the building.

Fire companies remained on scene for over three hours checking for fire extension, completing overhaul and mop up operations. There were no injuries to any of the firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau.

The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors in their homes.
