Structure Fire in Daly City

On July 30, 2017 at 7:49 a.m., 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers and 1 ambulance responded to a structure fire at 566 Gelllert Blvd. in Daly City.

The first arriving fire company found heavy smoke emitting from 3 sides of a 2 story single family dwelling. Utilizing hose lines, the fire was attacked and knocked down in approximately 10 minutes.

One occupant was treated on site for smoke inhalation by fire paramedics and then transported to a nearby medical center. Fire companies remained on scene for approximately 1.5 hours  for salvage and overhaul.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau.

The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors their homes and businesses.
