On December 25, 2015 at 7:17 a.m., 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers and1 Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire at 388 Hillside Blvd. in the City of Daly City.
The first arriving fire company found a 2-story, split level, single family home with flames coming from the rear of the building. Fire companies made entry into the building and using hose lines were able to contain the fire to the lower bedroom and basement area.
Fire companies remained on scene for approximately 2 hours checking for fire extension, completing overhaul and mop up operations. Three residents were displaced by the fire, but made their own arrangements for temporary housing. There were no injuries to any of the firefighters or residents.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau.
The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors their homes.
