On April 15th, 2020, at 1:13 a.m., 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers, and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a residential structure fire at 653 Sierra Point Rd in the City of Brisbane.
The first arriving fire company found the outside corner of the house on fire with flames extending into the living areas of the home. Firefighters pulled hose lines both to the outside of the structure and to the interior of the house. They conducted search and rescue operations while quickly extinguishing the fire. Firefighters were able to contain the fire with an aggressive attack and determined that there were no residents at the home during the fire.
Fire companies remained on scene for four and half hours checking for fire extension and completing salvage and overhaul operations. There were no injuries to any civilians or fire personnel on scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Division.
The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke alarms in their homes.
