Structure Fire – City of Pacifica

On November 8, 2021, at 11:26 AM 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers, and 1 Fire Investigator
responded to a structure fire at 227 Gateway Dr. in the City of Pacifica.

The first arriving fire company found heavy black smoke coming from the second floor of the two-story
single-family home. Making entry through the front door, firefighters were met with heavy smoke from the
floor to the ceiling. Firefighters conducted search and rescue operations while simultaneously
extinguishing the fire. There were no people needing rescue and firefighters were able to contain the fire
to the building of origin with an aggressive fire attack.

Fire companies remained on scene for 3 hours, checking for fire extension and completing salvage and
overhaul operations. Three residents were displaced by the fire and have made their own housing
arrangements. There were no injuries to any civilians or firefighters.

The cause of this fire is currently under investigation by the North County Fire Authority, Fire Prevention
Services Division.

smoke alarm
