Storage Yard Fire - Daly City

On April 9, 2016 at approximately 7:02 A.M., 4 Fire Companies, 1 Chief Officer and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a storage yard fire involving a large trailer and multiple vehicles located at 2650 Bayshore Boulevard in the City of Daly City.

The first arriving fire company to the storage yard found a large trailer fully involved in fire, as well as numerous vehicles also burning or beginning to ignite. Additionally, the fire was threatening nearby commercial businesses and other property due to potential for fire spread and radiant heat.

Fire companies made an aggressive attack using hose lines to knock down the fire and tactics were deployed to protect exposures and extension. Firefighters held the flames to the storage yard and did not allow any fire to reach or damage adjacent commercial buildings or other property.

There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. Fire companies remained on scene for over 4 hours completing overhaul operations and ensuring the fire was controlled.  The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau.
