On January 1, 2011 at 2:41 p.m., 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a report of house fire at 12 Garibaldi Court in Daly City.
The first arriving fire crew reported smoke coming from the first floor garage of the single family home. Fire companies made entry into the garage and using hose lines extinguished the fire in approximately one minute and remained on scene for approximately an hour and a half completing overhaul. No residents or firefighters were injured and the residents were not displaced by the fire. The fire is under investigation by the Fire Prevention Bureau.
The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors in their home.
