Single Alarm Structure Fire- Daly City

On June 25, 2012 at 5:00 p.m., 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a report of a structure fire at 82 Tallwood Drive in Daly City.

The first arriving fire crew reported smoke showing from the exterior of the single family residence. Fire companies made entry into the home and located the fire in the in-law unit area and using hose lines extinguished the fire, which was contained to the area of origin. Fire crews remained on scene for approximately two hours checking for further extension of the fire and completing overhaul. There were no injuries and the residents were displaced by the fire.   

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Prevention Bureau and the North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors in their home.
