On July 16, 2013 at 6:34a.m., 6 Fire Companies, 3 Chief Officers and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a report of smoke in a house at 32 E Moltke Street, Daly City.
The first arriving fire crew reported light smoke showing from the garage of a single family home . Fire companies made entry into the home and located the fire in the garage area and using hose lines extinguished the small fire, which was contained to the area of origin. Fire crews remained on scene for approximately two and one-half hours checking for further extension of the fire and completing overhaul. There were no injuries to involved and the residents were not displaced.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Prevention Bureau and the North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors in their home.
