Full Assignment Structure Fire in Pacifica
On September 3, 2012 at 11:53 a.m., 4 Fire Companies and 1 Chief Officer responded to a report of a structure fire at 208 Edgewood Drive in Pacifica.
The first arriving fire company reported smoke showing from the two-story single family residence. Fire companies made entry into the home and located the fire in the kitchen area and using hose lines extinguished the fire, which has extended into the attic space of the home. All residents were able to safely evacuate and fire crews remained on scene for approximately two hours checking for further extension of the fire and completing overhaul operations. One resident was evaluated and treated by firefighter paramedics for chest pain, and was transported to a local area hospital for further evaluation.
The occupants were not displaced from the home and the North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone the importance of not leaving food unattended when cooking and installing and maintaining smoke detectors in the home.
