Fatal Auto vs. Pedestrian Multi-Casualty Vehicle Accident in Daly City

On October 6, 2012 at approximately 8:59 a.m., three Fire Companies, two ambulances, and one Chief Officer, responded to a motor vehicle accident involving multiple victims in the parking lot of St. Andrews Church located at 1571 Southgate Avenue in Daly City.

The first arriving fire company assessed the incident and based on the number of victims requested additional resources. Firefighter paramedics coordinated triage and treatment of the three victims with ambulance personnel and all victims were transported to San Francisco General Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. One victim subsequently succumbed from their injuries at the hospital and the accident is being investigated by the Daly City Police Department.

The incident was mitigated in approximately one hour.
