Commercial Fire in Daly City

On November 24, 2020, at 4:27 p.m., 6 Fire Companies and 3 Chief Officers responded to a commercial fire at 7398 Mission St. in the City of Daly City.

The first arriving fire company found heavy smoke coming from the commercial building roof. Firefighters entered through the front entrance and used fire service hose lines to confine the fire in the place of fire origin, the stove. Simultaneously, other firefighters went on the roof for vertical roof ventilation. Firefighters successfully limited the fire damage only to the stove.

Fire companies remained on the scene for almost two hours, checking for fire extension and completing overhaul and mop-up operations. There were no injuries to any of the business owners or firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Prevention Division.

The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of staying in the kitchen when you are cooking on the stovetop so you can keep an eye on the food.
