Commercial Apartment Structure Fire in Daly City

On January 15, 2021 at 8:10 a.m., 13 Fire Companies, 1 Breathing Support Unit, 5 Chief Officers, and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire at 85 Kent Court in the City of Daly City.

The first arriving fire companies found smoke coming from the second floor of a three-story apartment building on Kent Court. Firefighters used hose lines to contain the fire to a single apartment unit on the second floor. Once the fire was extinguished one victim was found deceased within the apartment unit.

Fire companies remained on scene for four hours checking for fire extension and completing overhaul operations. No residents were displaced by this fire and no firefighters were injured as a result of this fire.

This fire is currently under joint investigation by the North County Fire Authority and the Daly City Police Department.
