Cliff Rescue in Daly City

On December 14, 2013, at 4:34 p.m. 3 Fire Companies, 1 Technical Rescue Unit and 1 Chief Officer responded to a cliff rescue at 2152 Olympic Way in Daly City.

The first arriving fire companies found a horse back rider that had been thrown from a horse, with the horse then falling onto the rider.  The rider was treated by firefighter/paramedics at the scene and using a rescue basket, was taken to an awaiting ambulance. The patient was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
