Cliff Rescue – City of Pacifica

On March 17, 2021 at 8:13 a.m., 2 Fire Companies, 1 Rescue Unit and 1 Chief Officer responded to a cliff rescue at 1 Mori Point Road in the City of Pacifica.

Responding firefighters found an adult male approximately 50 down the side of a cliff. Firefighter/paramedics set up a low angle rope rescue system and repelled down the side of the cliff.  The victim and the firefighter/paramedics were then lifted up the side of the cliff to safety. The victim was treated by firefighter/paramedics at the scene and only suffered minor injuries. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

There were no injuries to any of the firefighters, and the incident was mitigated in approximately one hour.
