Cliff Rescue at Westline Drive & Skyline Drive in Daly City

On September 19, 2012 at 5:59 pm, 3 Fire Companies, 1 Rescue Unit and 1 Chief Officer responded to a fall victim from a cliff in the area of Westline Drive & Skyline Drive in Daly City.

The first arriving fire company reported an adult male located on the beach at the bottom of an approximately 40 foot cliff. Fire crews gained access to the victim and firefighter paramedics evaluated, packaged and carried the victim up to the bluffs to an awaiting ambulance. The victim received moderate injuries and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

The incident was mitigated in approximately one and one-half hours.
