Cliff Rescue at Linda Mar Beach, Pacifica

On April 20, 2013 at 5:25 p.m. 4 Fire Companies, 1 Chief Officer, 1Technical Rescue Unit and 1 Off Road Transport Unit responded to the cliff rescue at Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica.

The first arriving fire company found a hiker in distress, that had fallen approximately 15 feet down the side of a cliff at the south end of the beach.  Firefighters expedited the rescue efforts due to high tide conditions once the hiker was located and the medical condition had been assessed.  Fortunately, the hiker suffered only minor injuries and was treated at the scene by firefighter paramedics, with no transport to the hospital required.
