2nd Alarm Grass Fire in Pacifica

On August 5, 2014 at 2:55 p.m. 9 Fire Companies, 5 Chief Officers and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a grass fire at 1226 Terra Nova Blvd in Pacifica.

The first arriving fire crews found a grass fire moving up hill, threatening 6 homes on Aspen Dr.

Due to this threat, a 2^nd alarm was struck for additional fire crews to respond. The fire burned approximately one acre of vegetation.

The fire was controlled in approximately 36 minutes with complete extinguishment and overhaul completed in approximately two hours.

There were no injuries to firefighters and the cause is under investigation by the Fire Prevention Bureau.
