On September 27, 2017 at 11:15 a.m., 7 Fire Companies, 4 Chief Officers and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a grass fire at Fassler Avenue and Roberts Road in the City of Pacifica.
The first arriving fire company found heavy smoke and flames coming from a grass fire that was burning from Fassler Avenue up towards Roberts Road. Fire companies used hose lines to contain the fire, which burned approximately one acre of land.
Fire companies remained on scene for approximately 3 hours checking for fire extension, completing overhaul and mop up operations. There were no injuries to any of the firefighters.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau.
The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of cutting and removing all dry grass and flammable vegetation around their homes.
