|Support & Administrative Services Bureau
The Support & Administrative Services Bureau is responsible for both the overall management and coordination of the department’s 150 employees as well as the management of resources in support of the organization. Administrative responsibilities include budget development and control, accounts payable and payroll processing, human resources and personnel activities, labor relations, clerical support, records management, data entry and analysis, workers compensation coordination, community outreach, and public education and information.
Support responsibilities include oversight of the maintenance and repair of the fleet and small equipment, facilities and grounds, communications equipment, and breathing apparatus, as well as inventory control of supplies including personal protective equipment. The bureau also manages Health & Safety services including safety and risk management, the department illness and injury prevention program (IIPP), communications and computer aided dispatch liaison, and mapping and technology enhancements. Lastly, the bureau oversees strategic planning, department policy and procedures, rules and regulations and various special community programs.
