The first arriving fire company found smoke coming from the eaves of a one story, single family home. Firefighters began search and rescue operations throughout the home, but found no occupants. Eight residents were displaced by the fire and provided their own housing arrangements.  There were no injuries to any of the occupants or firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Prevention Division.

The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke alarms in their homes.
