On July 26, 2019 at 5:35 p.m., 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers, and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire at 314 Channing Way in the City of Pacifica.
The first arriving fire company found heavy smoke and flames coming from the front bedroom of a two-story, single family home. Using hose lines, firefighters were able to contain the fire to the bedroom. There was smoke damage to other rooms of the home.
Fire companies remained on scene for over 3 hours checking for fire extension and completing salvage and overhaul operations. Three residents were displaced by the fire.
There were no injuries to any of the firefighters or residents.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Division.
The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke alarms in their homes.
